JIM HENSON

A lover of boating, Jim Henson got his start young. He bought his first 14-foot boat at the age of 14. When he was 19, he upgraded to a 35-foot Chris-Craft Tournament Fisherman and again at the age of 24 when he bought a 46-foot Bertram.

Over the course of his life, he’s owned multiple Hatteras yachts and other miscellaneous yachts, but has since sold them and now sticks to captaining. He will frequently sell someone a yacht and end up becoming their captain. He just loves the water. He says if you’re born with saltwater in your veins, there’s no way to get it out.

He loves spending time on his “land yacht,” as he likes to call his luxury motor home.

Jim is a Hatteras specialist and has sold more $1.5 million yachts in the last year than he has in his entire life.

Fun fact: Jim works on the mechanics of his boats he sells. He learned from his dad.
